Pluto ain't my baby, daddy

Pluto got two checks and a firm kick out the door this week with no severance, no handshake - no nothin'. Sorry little buddy, but we just can't have poser planets taking 154 hours to orbit the sun in our elite Solar System - we're more uppity than the membership at Augusta National. It's been a nice run, and we've been avoiding the problem for years, but eventually shit had to hit the Kuiper Belt.

It must suck for those poor folks on Pluto. They already have to work 51 hour days and suffer through temperatures of -200 degrees Celsius and now those arrogant geeks on Earth with their nice temperate climate and nifty pocket protectors are calling Pluto a lolely "dwarf planet", as if small-man's syndrome and being named after a Disney character isn't punishment enough. Let's just change it's name to Sleepy and turn it into a full-on mockery.

NY Residents: Ask Your Officials About Illegal Spying

New York: Congress may be on recess, but we're not taking a break from the fight to protect the Constitution and the rule of law. This week and in the weeks to come, you have a unique opportunity to make a difference and help keep the pressure on your elected officials. Many senators and representatives are home meeting with and listening to the people they represent, which includes you.

We urge you to meet your lawmakers while they're home this week and ask them to stand up to the Bush administration's ongoing abuses of power. Get started right now with our simple instructions and a list of questions to ask.

President Bush has shown an alarming and reckless disregard for the rule of law. He has directed the National Security Agency to wiretap Americans without a warrant and violated long-standing treaties designed to protect basic human rights.

More Class Action Suits Filed Over Lipitor

Ever since I told you about the first lawsuits against Pfizer over their cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor in June, more and more people have stepped up to share their horror stories after taking the #1 prescribed cholesterol medicine in the world currently used by over 22 million people.Attorney Mark Jay Krum has agreed to take on the personal injury lawsuits filed against Pfizer, Inc. over the negative physical effects that Liptor has allegedly caused those who have taken the drug. This class action lawsuit continues to grow and Krum is encouraging people who have experienced lingering symptoms after taking Lipitor to contact him using his Lipitor Litigation contact page or via e-mail at markjaykrum@aol.com.The lawsuit specifically accuses Pfizer of deceiving the public with their marketing of Lipitor as a "safe drug with minimal health risks." Krum says Pfizer had a responsibility to give adequate warnings to both physicians and the patients who were prescribed Lipitor to lower their cholesterol of the more dangerous side effects such as severe muscle pain, nerve damage, memory loss, extremely vivid nightmares and other issues involving the brain and central nervous system while taking the drug.

How to prevent or survive lost luggage

PORTLAND, Oregon (AP) -- Are you one of the many unlucky air travelers who've lost their luggage?

Most of those misplaced bags are eventually returned to their owners, on average 31 hours after being reported missing, according to Susan Foster, author of "Smart Packing for Today's Traveler" (Smart Travel Press, $19.95).

But there are steps you can take to help prevent your luggage from getting lost -- or at least enable you to survive the ordeal with less difficulty.

Here are Foster's tips for smart packing:

Use a sturdy identification tag with a durable strap on each bag. The best tags have a cover hiding your name to protect your privacy; use your business address and phone whenever possible.

Include your identification information inside the bag, in case the outer tag is lost.

20% of Google clicks are 'fake'

Google could have another class-action lawsuit on its hands over click fraud if a judge certifies a new suit filed against the company in Pennsylvania for class-action status. As much as 20 per cent of all Google ad clicks could be malicious, according to analysts.

Philadelphia attorney Samuel Lassoff has filed suited in a district court in Pennsylvania against Google for click fraud.

Lassoff, who is both the plaintiff and the lead attorney in the case, said he suffered about US$1,000 worth of click fraud involving two websites he has for a marketing and reseller business, SJL Systems. The websites involved in the case are www.winatshopping.com and www.coupons-and-promotions.com, and the click fraud occurred during the time period of October 2005 and February 2006.
